This is a great pancake recipe to make for the ‘Honey’ in your life! Naomi wanted to recreate the flavor of her favorite breakfast cereal for her boys – Honey Nut Cheerios! – but since she is allergic to nuts was at a loss as to how to mimic the “nut” flavor that the real thing uses (almond), until she hit on hulled sunflower seeds. With a few simple ingredients, this came together quickly and captures the flavor of the cereal in fluffy, moist pancakes. This recipe makes about 10 4 inch pancakes.

GF High Fiber Flatbread
Are you looking for a bread that is high in fiber and easy to make? This yeast free griddle bread contains about 5-7 g of fiber per bun, requires only 3 ingredients, can be whipped up at a moment’s notice and doesn’t require the use of your oven! Perfect for making breakfast sandwiches (pictured), you can fill these flatbreads with any variety of fillings. If you are going on a trip, mix together the dry ingredients and whip up a batch in your hotel room using either a hot plate or microwave!
GF Vegan Yankee Style Creamed Corn Cornbread
Cornbread is a hotly debated subject among aficionados. Southern fans of the stuff insist on the purity of a sugar free, cast-iron cornbread. Most Yankees find this ‘real’ cornbread too dry for their taste. Up north, you’ll find lots more sugar – Southerners will sniff that the stuff is cake and not cornbread. Go far enough north and creamed corn begins making an appearance. We think this vegan version of our Yankee Cornbread recipe is great and worth eating, even if it is heretical.

GF Buttermilk Fried Chicken
My husband suggested I send you this recipe. He is not gluten-free but believes this is the best fried chicken I have ever made. I just substituted Better Batter Seasoned Flour mix for my usual flour and spices and WOW what a great response I got. This will now be my go-to.
GF Grilled Chocolate Orange Cupcakes
Each Friday we take an inspiration from Pinterest and try to make it, using Better Batter gluten and allergen free products. This week, we found this really intriguing recipe for grilled orange cupcakes. The cake batter is grilled right in hollowed orange shells. We made this version allergen free and easier by using our cake mix. If you’re a huge fan of Terry’s chocolate orange or other orange/chocolate combinations, you’ll love this. We thought another great idea would be to use yellow cake mix, as the orange flavor is really super strong.
GF Better Batter Pancake Mix Pie Crust
The is an easy pie crust that will do in a pinch when you don’t have time or ingredients to bake a crust from scratch. Because of the slightly sandy nature and very delicate texture of the crust, you will find this crust is more appropriate as a single crust bottom for custard pies or as a topping for meat pies (like our Chicken and Cider pie!)
