Autumn will be here soon, and this is my family’s favorite pie recipe now, gluten free or not! Thick sliced fresh or frozen peaches also go well instead of apples.

2 1/2-3 cups peeled, cored and sliced apples
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 cup white sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup BBGF flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
OR 1/4c. apple or pear sauce plus 1tsp. baking
powder
OR egg replacer
1 pinch salt
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9 inch pie pan with butter.
Fill 2/3 of the pan with sliced apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1 teaspoon sugar.
In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup sugar with the melted butter. Stir in pecans, BBGF flour, egg and salt. Mix well. Spread mixture over the apples.
Bake in preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown. Test apples for desired doneness.
