3 Gluten Free Expos Worth Visiting This Year

It seems like each year, more events are cropping up that specifically focus on gluten free living. After years of no one really speaking about the disease publicly, it’s nice to be able to congregate with like-minded folks.

If you’re lucky enough to live near one, or you can manage to travel this year, these are 3 well-established events worth visiting.

1. National Conference & Gluten Free Expo

Sponsored by the Celiac Disease Foundation, this festival is quite possibly the largest GF event around.

When/Where: May 2-3, 2015 – Pasadena, CA

Cost: Child $10+, Adult $20+

Notes: You can purchase a ticket for only the expo or you can opt for a combo ticket, which will gain you access to both the expo and the conference. The expo will have 100+ gluten free companies, where you’ll be able to try new products that haven’t been rolled out in stores yet.

The combo ticket will gain you access to education sessions, speakers, and a one-on-one dietetic or mental health consultation, among other things.

2. Gluten Free & Allergen Free Expo (multiple locations)

Presented by Udi’s® and Glutino®, the GFAF expo is currently scheduled to take place in multiple locations around the US.

May 2-3, 2015 – Chicago, IL

July 25, 2015 – Worcester, MA

October 3-4, 2015 – Secaucus, NJ

October 17-18, 2015 – Dallas, TX

Cost: Child $5+, Adult $20+

Notes: They do have early bird discounts too, so be sure to check those out. You’ll be able to take classes, listen to presenters, and visit with gluten free vendors at each location.

3. Gluten Free Food Allergy Fest (multiple locations)

Another festival offering several locations to choose from in 2015.

May 16-17, 2015 – Minneapolis, MN

September 26-27, 2015 – Portland, OR

October 24-25, 2015 – Indianapolis, IN

November 7-8, 2015 – Stamford, CT

Cost: Child $5+, Adult $15+

Notes: Multi-day tickets are available as well as senior and military discounts. You’ll be able to sample the latest gluten free foods, visit with experts in the field, and meet others following the GF lifestyle.
