Dairy Free Cheesy Garlic Bread

This bread has all the taste and texture of the garlicky, cheesy baguettes popular throughout the United States. The secret to the bread is a non-dairy sauce that bakes up into a slightly crisped topping. Serve this with your favorite pasta.


One Recipe  French Bread or Ciabatta Bread

Non Dairy Cheese Sauce
2 c Water or Almond Milk 4 tb Better Batter Gluten Free Flour
1/4 c Nutritional yeast flakes 3 tb Fresh lemon juice
1/3 c quick grits or cream of rice 1 tb chopped green onion
1/4 c tahini
1-2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 ts salt
3 drops yellow food coloring


Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.


Slice the bread in half-lengthwise and set aside, cut side up.

In the bowl of your blender or food processor, blend the Non Dairy Cheese Sauce Ingredients  until smooth. Heat in a small saucepan until thickened.

Divide in half.

Spread each half of bread with half of the 'cheese' mixture. 

Bake for 10-15 minutes.
