Basic Garlic Bread

This bread can be made using our French Bread or Ciabatta Bread. The crusty loaf is baked with a buttery, garlic filling that is intense without being biting.


1 loaf either French Bread or Ciabatta Bread.


1 head of garlic


1 stick of butter or margerine



Optional (choose any or all add-ins):


zest of one lemon


2 tbsp parsley


1 tbsp capers


1 tbsp oregano



Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.

Grease a sheet of foil long enough to wrap the bread in and set aside.



Slice the bread in half-lengthwise and set aside, cut side up.

In the bowl of your blender or food processor, blend the remaining ingredients (and any desired add-ins) until nearly smooth.

Divide in half.

Spread each half of bread with half of the butter mixture. Place the two sides - buttered side together - onto the foil, to form one loaf. Wrap tightly.

Bake for 10-15 minutes.
